People want to do the right thing, they just don't want to be told to do the right thing.
Code Enforcement is a difficult topic to breach.
However it is a topic that must be addressed.
Many citizens work very hard to maintain the beauty of Guernsey
and the pride we have for this Town. Sadly, there are others who do not.
That is the reason The Town of Guernsey
has to appoint a Code Enforcement Officer.
Whenever a resident has a complaint about another resident not doing
their part to keep Guernsey beautiful or any Nuisance in general the
Code Enforcement Officer is required to look into the matter
and determine what the appropriate course of action will be.
It is at this point that the philosophy
"People want to do the right thing, they just don't want to be told to do the right thing"
comes into play. Nobody likes being told what to do. We get that,
we also know that nobody wants to live by someone that doesn't care about or maintain their yard.
Many of the weed and grass species are propagated by the
wind and if they are not
cut or abated they just keep spreading and become everyone's problem.
Please don't be part of the problem, be the solution.
